Our dates remain unchanged, 20-21 November.  We have become aware that another disability expo that was scheduled to run in Melbourne this weekend on Friday and Saturday (hosted by another organisation) at MCEC has been cancelled. We understand that there has been no communication from the organisers to exhibitors who have booked exhibition space, nor attendees who have registered to attend. Venue security is in place to turn people away and so we recommend that you don't attempt to attend the MCEC on either Friday or Saturday this week. Unfortunately, there is some confusion around the official dates of our expo - especially as AI and other sources conflate the two events.  To avoid any confusion, we want to reiterate that the one and only Melbourne My Future, My Choice Disability Expo: • will be held on 20–21 November 2026 • will be at Door 1, Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. The ONLY trusted sources you should use for the Melbourne Disability Expo are: • this Instagram account and our Facebook page • the Melbourne Disability Expo website page (link in bio) For more than 11 years, ImpactInstitute has proudly delivered the My Future, My Choice Disability Expo series across Australia. We are thrilled to announce our 2026 Brisbane Disa We are thrilled to announce our 2026 Brisbane Disability Expo Ambassador, @chloewiggart! 💙 Chloe Wigg is an award-winning artist, public speaker, and advocate for community engagement and improvement. After retiring from a career as a paramedic, Chloe turned to art, first as a creative practice for her own wellbeing, and increasingly as a tool for advocacy and connection. This year, Chloe is an Emerging Leader with Queensland Disability Network and was a 60 Second Finalist at TEDxBrisbane, advocating for co-design and seamless accessibility ahead of the Brisbane 2032 Olympics. She is currently developing her new project, Adapted, which investigates what is gained in function – and lost in identity.
