We’re thrilled to announce Rhiannon Tracey as the official ambassador for this year’s Melbourne Disability Expo held on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd November at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Rhiannon is a motivational speaker, wellness advocate, model, and lifestyle influencer whose journey is nothing short of extraordinary. After a pool accident made her a quadriplegic just before her 21st birthday. Told she would never walk again, Rhiannon defied expectations. Today, she walks short distances with crutches, rides her horse Henry, and leads a life filled with impact and inspiration.
She also founded The Next Step, a spinal injury rehabilitation charity and recovery centre, built a thriving freelance makeup business, amassed a loyal social media following, and made history as the first female wheelchair user to walk the runway at Melbourne Fashion Week.
“I really cherish my role within our community because I can see perspective from both sides…that dual lens helps me educate instead of argue for accessible needs.”
At the Expo, Rhiannon will take the stage for a live Q&A session, sharing her journey from injury to empowerment, and offering insights on mental health, resilience, and living life on your own terms. She’ll also be available for media interviews and meet-and-greets.
“I’m really looking forward to connecting with other service providers who are navigating the same challenges with the NDIS. There’s a lot of important conversations to be had.”
“I think we all need to use our voices more…both as people with disability and as allies…connection and conversation are how we make change.”
