Cocoon SDA Care is a proud Gold Sponsor of the Melbourne Disability Expo. Cocoon’s focus lies in creating tailor-made specialist disability homes, catering to individuals with severe functional impairments and/or extensive support requirements stemming from their disabilities.
One of the residents who has benefited from Cocoon’s services is Harvey. Harvey had a difficult life before he moved into his Cocoon house. He felt frustrated and exhausted by his previous living situation. He needed a change.
That change came when he joined Cocoon. He felt an immediate difference in his mood and well-being. He felt calm and relaxed in his new home. He felt the warmth and comfort of his surroundings and his caregivers.
But it was not only the physical environment that made a difference. It was also the human touch. The staff at Cocoon treated Harvey with respect and care. They supported him in his goals and encouraged him to express himself. They gave him the freedom and space to do things his own way.
Harvey thrived in this environment. He discovered his true self and embraced his individuality. He became happier and more confident. He is now proud of who he is and what he has achieved. He is grateful for the opportunity to live in a place that nurtures him and helps him grow.
